The Atwater Library AWE III project with the South Asian Women’s Community Centre (SAWCC) presents Unravelling in Rhymes, a Word After Word writing workshop for black, indigenous, women and femmes of color, ages 17-35. Workshop leaders are Tanya Evanson and Deanna Smith. This workshop will be flexible in order to best suit the needs of our participants. Everyone is invited to participate as they feel most comfortable. Previous poetry-writing and performing experience is not necessary! People struggling to gain the courage to write their poems and/or perform will be welcomed with open arms. You are also welcome to bring any writing you would like to work with. FREE! Space is limited to 15 participants. Please note that this event is at the SAWCC at 1035 Rachel St. East, 3rd Floor, in Montreal, and NOT at the Library. RSVP to to register or for more details.
