Les Amis de la Bibliothèque de Montréal invites the public to its gigantic Annual Book Sale which will take place from April 30th to May 8th at the Étienne-Desmarteau arena. More than 85 000 novels, historical books, reference works, periodicals and children’s books will be available.

You could find rare pearls, new treasures or rediscover well-loved traditional ones. Each day, additional books will be added to the sale. You can come every day and make new finds. The books on sale are in French, English and foreign languages. We are expecting to receive around 15 000 books in English.

A book sale which benefits everyone --
These books are no longer needed in the collections of the libraries at the Ville de Montréal. Each year, many documents are withdrawn to make place for new acquisitions.

The proceeds of the book sale is used to finance activities to promote interest in reading sponsored or supported by Les Amis de la Bibliothèque de Montréal, a non-profit organization supporting reading and the network of public libraries in the Ville de Montréal.
