2016 QAHN Heritage Essay Contest

QAHN's judges were so impressed with the quality of the essays received from Nina Wong's Grade 6 class at Gardenview Elementary School in Ville St-Laurent that they decided to award all three prizes -- first, second and third -- to kids at Gardenview.

The winners (and their essays) are as follows:

1st Prize ($150 with Certificate): Griffin O’Neil, Grade 6, for "My Grandfather and WWII."

2nd Prize ($125 with Certificate): Jordan Cheng, Grade 6, for "My Great Grandfather."

3rd Prize ($100 with Certificate): Sydney Levitt, Grade 6, for "Sergeant Benny."

The winning essays will be published in the Fall 2016 issue of our magazine, Quebec Heritage News,.
