--June 8, 2016.

RESOLUTION ADOPTED AT THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE QUEBEC ANGLOPHONE HERITAGE NETWORK, Sherbrooke, June 4, 2016:

Be it resolved that:
QAHN feels that the LaFontaine House in Montreal should be purchased by the Canadian Government to be developed as its national monument to: the attainment of responsible government; the unique friendship of two Fathers of the Nation; and the unique national character of the united country that was to become the sharing, caring Canada that will always exist.

Be it also resolved that:
QAHN also believes that the singular association of the site with LaFontaine and Baldwin and their successful re-establishment of French as an official language of Canada makes the environs of the house, the unrivalled site of a museum of the French language.
